SSC-CB561R is capable of capturing images in distances of up to 16m even in zero lux illumination, thanks to its optical day and night function, while taking color images in daylight, it switches to black-and-white shooting when the environment gets darker and increases light sensitivity. Using Sony's 1/3 "960H Super HAD CCDII sensor, the camera provides high light sensitivity with the Effio-E digital signal processor.
