Lenses are eyepiece systems that focus the image on the sensors of the cameras.

 The dome comes with a lens attached to each camera, whether outdoor, speed dome or cube type. However, box-type cameras, if not provided by the manufacturer, come without lenses. The reason is that this camera is customizable according to the area in which it will be used. This means that a suitable lens must be selected according to your intended use.

There are 2 types of lenses used in security systems.

• C Frame
• CS Frame

Some older or larger lenses are C-mount, so they fit into cameras with CS housing with a 5 mm adapter ring.

Basic lens types

1. Fixed Iris Lenses; These lenses cannot make any light adjustments. The light adjustment job depends on the camera's capability.
2. Manual Iris Lenses; The light of these lenses can be adjusted manually.
3. Automatic Iris Lenses; These lenses adjust the light automatically. They receive the information from the automatic iris connection to the camera to which it is based.
4. P-Iris Lenses; These lenses automatically adjust the light just like automatic iris lenses. The center of the lens provides greater depth of field than the edges. The combination of the camera and the P-Iris lens reduces the aperture to the lowest possible level, judging the image to be bright enough. This allows the light to pass through the center of the lens, focusing on the sensor and providing a better depth of field.
