Haikon (Hikvision) Password Reset

If you have forgotten the password of your Hikvision (or Hikvision production: Haikon etc. ) device, you can reset your password using this tool. You can reset your password with SADP tool or serial number on the device.

This tool is compatible with all known Internet browsers.


If you have completed the following step and cannot reset the password, you should contact the distributor of the product.
Disclaimer: This tool may or may not work for your camera or NVR. Please follow the instructions very carefully and make sure all your entries in the tool are correct. Some devices in the new firmware require a more secure password reset procedure.

This tool will only work with cameras and NVRs running with firmware older than 5.3.0.
Update: Some Hikvision devices (perhaps just NVRs) show that they add the model numbers to the beginning of their serial numbers. You need to remove this from the serial number you entered the vehicle.

For example, serial number is shown as DS-7208HVI-ST0123456789AAWR987654321WCVU, and if the model number of the device is DS-7208HVI-ST, then the real serial number is 0123456789AAWR987654321WCVU
This tool will generate a password reset code that you can use to reset the forgotten administrator password for Haikon (Hikvision) cameras or NVRs (Network Video Recorders).

Enter the full serial number of your camera, as seen in the Hikvision SADP tool (Attention: Case sensitive):


Important: The time date information below should be the same as that of the device (Camera or NVR).
If it has no problem, it is today's date. This page fills this information automatically.
If there is a difference with your system, you should correct the area below.
Turn off and on to read the date from your device, then allow time to boot and refresh your device list in SADP.
Check the start time column.
Enter the year in 4 digits:

Enter the day in 2 digits:
Your password reset code will appear below.

The code must be entered in the serial code box (called Security Code in later SADP versions) in Hikvision SADP.
The device will compare its internal date and time with the date and time you entered above. The code will not work if the Serial Number and date do not match.
